Today was my last day at work! I am 29 weeks and 3 days pregnant. Maternity pay/leave actually starts in August, but summer holiday starts today. I got a bit emotional and had a bit of a cry in the office…I’ll miss my job. I had a lovely Baby Shower at work yesterday, and got loads of presents, as well as lots of cake! A couple of the kids gave me biscuits and wine as well (for after the baby is born), it was really sweet.
So now I have several months off work. Next week The Big Tidy Up/Sort Everything Out Project starts. I have to find space for all of the baby’s stuff! Hospital bag is nearly all packed, just need to wash the baby clothes before I pack any of them. I think we have pretty much everything we need now, including cot bed and mattress, which arrived today. Also have to make Bob a Birthday pavlova.
I have temporarily given up OU work as well, so I can just concentrate on getting things ready for the baby. My brain can’t really cope with more than one thing at a time at the moment!
